He emphasized Türkiye's preference for resolving tensions in both areas through diplomatic channels rather than further escalation.
Erdogan also reiterated Ankara's determination to deepen its partnership with Washington and broaden cooperation across various sectors.
The Turkish president expressed his country's willingness to contribute to efforts aimed at restarting peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, with the goal of ending the ongoing war.
Trump, meanwhile, congratulated Erdogan and the Turkish people on the occasion of Republic Day.
The US president also extended his wishes for Türkiye's success as it prepares to host the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
