Police Seize Weapons from Suspects’ Homes of San Diego Mosque Shooting

(MENAFN) Authorities in the United States have seized a large cache of weapons following a deadly attack at a mosque in San Diego that left three people dead, according to reports on Tuesday.

Law enforcement officials said more than 30 firearms, along with a crossbow, were recovered from homes associated with the teenage suspects involved in the shooting.

Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent in Charge Mark Remily said investigators executed three search warrants at residences tied to the suspects, uncovering pistols, rifles, shotguns, ammunition, tactical equipment, and electronic devices.

He added that additional evidence is being analyzed, including writings believed to belong to the suspects discovered after the attack. Authorities are also pursuing further warrants for devices recovered from the scene and from a vehicle linked to the incident.

Remily said:
“We’ve also executed search warrants on the electronic devices the subjects had with them at the time of the incident, and we’re in the process of obtaining additional search warrants for devices in the vehicle they used,”

According to reports, the investigation is continuing as authorities work to determine the motive behind the attack and examine digital evidence and written materials connected to the suspects.
