Ukrainian military achieves progress in frontier of Sumy district
(MENAFN) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his country’s troops had achieved “good results” in the Sumy border region, where heavy fighting with Russian forces has been ongoing in recent months.
In an evening video statement shared on US social media company X late Sunday, Zelenskyy stated he received a report for the previous day by Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi and that Ukrainian military are ongoing to approach Ukraine’s frontier with Russia in the northeastern district.
The Leader of Ukraine stated “There are good results in the border area of the Sumy region … The Russians are also suffering significant losses in the Kharkiv region – in Kupyansk – and in the Donetsk region.”
The Ukrainian soldiers are engaged in ongoing actions close to the city of Dobropillia in the easterly district of Donetsk as well as they are fending off the Russian attacks, he stated.
