N. Korea Vows Retaliation on U.S. Marking Korean War 75th

(MENAFN) North Korea has declared it will exact retaliation against the United States as it observes the 75th anniversary of the Korean War’s eruption, according to media on Wednesday.

The day before, rallies took place in Pyongyang featuring students, female workers, and members of the country’s largest women’s organization. These events expressed a strong commitment to strike back at the US for what they termed atrocities committed during the Korean War, reports North Korean media.

At the events, speakers condemned Washington for its “heinous crimes” during the conflict and vowed to respond with force. They also claimed that the US continues to engage in military aggression.

Media quoted unnamed speakers stating, "All young people should deeply engrave in their minds that they must mercilessly settle accounts with the enemy only with guns."

In North Korea, June 25 is observed as the "day of struggle against US imperialism," marking the war’s outbreak in 1950. Throughout June, the nation holds large-scale rallies designed to boost and harden anti-American feelings.
