Erdogan arrives in Netherland to participate in NATO summit

(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in the Netherlands on Tuesday to participate in a two-day NATO summit being held in The Hague.

Upon his arrival at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, Erdogan was received by Dutch officials, Türkiye’s Ambassador to NATO Basat Ozturk, and Turkish Ambassador to The Hague Selcuk Unal. He then proceeded to The Hague, the site of the summit.

Later in the evening, Erdogan was scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump during a formal dinner hosted by Dutch King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima. The event gathered 45 world leaders and dignitaries for the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit.

Erdogan was accompanied by a high-level delegation that included First Lady Emine Erdogan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, National Intelligence Organization (MIT) chief Ibrahim Kalin, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and Akif Cagatay Kilic, his senior advisor on foreign policy and security matters.

The Turkish president and his wife took part in the royal dinner at the Royal Palace, where King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima welcomed attending leaders and their spouses. The evening commenced with a reception and group photo session before the official dinner began.
