Trump Warns Israel Against Bombing Iran
In a direct message posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote: “ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!”
This caution came shortly after Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz commanded the military to attack Tehran, accusing Iran of breaching the ceasefire that Trump had previously declared.
Beginning June 13, Israel initiated assaults targeting Iran’s nuclear and military sites, alleging that Tehran was nearing the capability to develop nuclear weapons. Iran, which steadfastly denies possessing a nuclear weapons agenda, responded with missile strikes of its own.
In retaliation, the US launched airstrikes early Sunday against three critical Iranian nuclear installations located at Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. Trump claimed these strikes had “completely and totally obliterated” the facilities.
On Monday evening, Iran fired missiles at the US’s Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar; however, there were no significant casualties or structural damage. Following this, a ceasefire agreement was reached, effectively ending what has been dubbed “The 12 DAY WAR.”
Trump originally announced the ceasefire, explaining it would involve a phased cessation of hostilities: Iran would initiate the ceasefire first, with Israel following twelve hours later, and a complete halt to all conflict declared after 24 hours.
Israeli media reports indicated that Qatar played a key role in mediating the ceasefire deal.
President Trump later confirmed the ceasefire’s activation, urging both nations to adhere strictly to the agreement: "THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!"
